North/Centre
Highly populated with excellent infrastructure. Many Germans live here. You will find Historic buildings, art and culture here very often - as well as rain. Preferred location for senior citizens |
Capitol region
Characterized by differences: the two southern municipalities are quiet without tourism, and well accessible. The islands end (with Anaga mountains) is lovely but virtually in the middle of nowhere. The capital Santa Cruz is a vivid harbour-city |
South-West
60% of tourism is located here, though mainly close to the coast. You're right here if you are looking for high temperatures and nearly no rain, are interested in action and attractions rather than in pure nature. Properties here are easy to let and sell |
South
Hot and dry, main places of interest are the beaches and golf greens. Intensive construction works and touristic growth. Very good accessibilty by airport and highway. Best for sportsmen and sun-adorers, in higher regions also for do-it-yourself wine-growers. |
North-East
More and more British residents, nearly no tourism. Good traffic connections/infrastructure, but nearly no good beaches. Lovely countryside and blooming vegetation because of relatively much rain. Very sought after location of permanently residing owners. |
North-West
You like hiking boots and a botanical cyclopedia more than shopping malls and tourists bars? Then you're right here. Don't be afraid: they have water and electric light here and the two hours transfer to the southern airport isn´t really important to you, is it? |
